Yellow silica particles change colour when they come into contact with protein (a sign of infection) in the urine. MERSJO pH control helps detect urinary tract diseases in cats before a visit to the vet.
If the yellow particles in the litter turn pink/blue within 30-60 minutes of urination, this may indicate that your cat is suffering from a urinary tract disease. Consult your vet immediately.
